Brides Connecticut Magazine checked in for their Spring/Summer 2011 issue to see which popular celebrity looks often get translated to the aisle. A fresh, dewy, sunkissed look is one the most popular requests that I get….so here’s how we go from red carpet to a walk down the aisle!
Dewy, Radiant Skin~ Lauren Conrad
“Brides like her sun-kissed glow,” says Deanna Nickel of d.d.Nickel Makeup Studio, in New Haven. “To recreate the look I start with a primer, which keeps “dewy” from turning into “oily”. Then I use a sheer tinted moisturizer, a peachy cream blush, and a matte powder compact two shades darker than the brides skin tone as a “bronzer”, since most bronzer formulas have alot of shimmer, which doesn’t always look good on camera. On the eyes, I use a brown eyeshadow with a reddish tint for some warmth.”
