Costa Rica: Camino Verde

I might be the luckiest makeup artist, ever!  Two trips to the sunny country of Costa Rica to shoot bridal images with an exceptional (and fun) group of artists.  Our second trip to Costa Rica was last November…a perfect excuse to leave dreary Connecticut…right before the dismal weather showed up.  We packed a LOT of shooting into a week but we did have one scheduled day to lazy around and catch some rays…and what did we do?  Shoot more photos!  Yep!  Cause apparently that’s how we roll.   Tony of Datura, our resident floral genius dubbed it, “Do whatcha wanna do” day…and that’s what we did…on a shady lane, complete with horses, cows and a local kayak shop.

And the cast and crew of “Do whatcha wanna do” day!

Tony created this bolero from native Costa Rican flowers that morning…

And he fashioned the headpiece and earrings around a bird I’d found at a Costa Rican craft store, some branches and more native flowers.  And if that’s not enough, he literally turned the bolero above into a waterfall bouquet…and totally on the fly
